Terms of Service
Last updated: March 19, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Prompted (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including experts who publish knowledge bases and end users who access them via AI assistants.
2. Description of service
Prompted is a platform where professionals create AI-consultable digital twins of their expertise. The Service includes:
- A public profile page for each expert
- A knowledge base builder accessible via AI assistants (MCP protocol)
- A unified MCP connector at connect.prompted.as that provides: (a) discovery and consultation tools for all users to search and consult experts, and (b) knowledge base management tools for authenticated experts to build and enrich their professional knowledge base via AI assistants
- A web dashboard for viewing your knowledge base and analytics
- A public directory of published experts
3. Account registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- One person may only maintain one account. Duplicate accounts may be merged or removed.
4. Your content and intellectual property
You retain full ownership of all content you submit to the Service, including your knowledge base, profile information, frameworks, case studies, and documents.
By publishing your profile, you grant Prompted a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and make available your published content through the Service, including via MCP servers, public profile pages, and the expert directory.
Aggregate data: we may use anonymized, aggregate data derived from all published knowledge bases for research, analytics, and service improvement (e.g., industry trends, skill demand analysis). Individual knowledge bases remain your property and are never sold.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you publish. You must not publish content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Publish false, misleading, or defamatory content
- Publish content that promotes discrimination, harassment, or violence
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
- Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or bulk-download data from the Service
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service or its infrastructure
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
- Use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited communications
6. MCP servers and AI access
When you publish your profile, your knowledge base becomes accessible to AI assistants (such as Claude and ChatGPT) via the MCP protocol. This is a core feature of the Service.
What this means:
- Users of AI assistants can search for your profile, view your expertise, and start consultations based on your published knowledge.
- The AI assistant generates responses using your knowledge base as context — Prompted does not generate AI responses itself.
- You can unpublish your profile at any time to immediately revoke AI access to your knowledge base.
Limitations: Prompted is not responsible for how third-party AI assistants interpret, summarize, or present your published knowledge. AI-generated responses based on your knowledge base do not constitute professional advice from you.
7. Consumer use via AI assistants
If you access Prompted through an AI assistant (e.g., via the Prompted connector in Claude or ChatGPT):
- The information provided is based on experts' self-published knowledge bases and should not be considered as formal professional advice.
- AI-generated consultation responses are produced by the AI assistant, not by the expert directly. They reflect the AI's interpretation of the expert's published knowledge.
- For formal professional engagements, we recommend contacting the expert directly through the contact information provided in their profile.
Regulated sectors: consultations on topics such as legal, medical, financial, or tax matters are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute legal advice, medical diagnosis, financial recommendations, or any other form of regulated professional service. Always consult a licensed professional for decisions in these areas.
8. Availability and modifications
We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prompted shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service
- AI-generated responses based on your or others' published knowledge bases
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- Any third-party conduct on the Service
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the dashboard settings or by contacting us. Upon deletion, your published content will be immediately removed from public access and permanently deleted within 30 days.
We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms, with prior notice except in cases of severe violations (illegal content, security threats, or abuse).
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Padova, Italy.
For EU consumers: you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
12. Security vulnerability reporting
If you discover a security vulnerability in the Service, please report it responsibly by emailing security@prompted.as. We will acknowledge your report within 48 hours and work to address confirmed vulnerabilities promptly. Please do not publicly disclose the vulnerability until we have had the opportunity to address it.
